Wedding day!

Finally... a post about our big day! I don't know where to begin - August 26th was the most perfect day! Everything about it was a dream come true. I will admit I've been dreaming about my wedding day since I was a little girl, and it was even better than I've ever dreamed! Everything came together so perfectly. We had the most amazing support of all of our family and friends. That meant the world to us. It wouldn't have been the same without them.

Spencer and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple. I've always known that I wanted to get married there. It's my castle:) The sealing was so special to us. It was one of the most special moments of my life. It was a really neat thing for me to be able to wear my mom's wedding dress to be married in. Our temple sealer was the sweetest man in the world. He did such a wonderful job. When Spencer and I entered the sealing room, the sealer also had us stand and take a moment to look at each person in the eyes that was in the room. I lost it. I was so overwhelmed to see all of the people that have been such a big part of my life supporting Spencer and me. I also loved that when I sat down I could see my dad across the way and could reach to the left to my husband and to the right my cute escort, my mom. I also loved how our sealer spoke to us before and after the sealing ceremony and explained to us what he had talked about and how it applied to our marriage. He also mentioned a few times that there were people that have passed on before us in the sealing room with us. It was so spiritual and special to me because I could feel my grandparents by my side. Another special part of the ceremony was when the sealer told us that our Savior was proud of us. Those words meant so much to us. The sealing was definitely the most special and important part of the day because it was the moment I was sealed to my hubby for time and all eternity. It's something I'll never forget.

After the temple (and what felt like 120 degree weather!) we went to our wedding luncheon at the Grand America. Spencer's family put a lot of work and time into it and made it so special for us! One of my favorite touches were the Jones sodas that were turned into "Snyder Soda". Our picture and fun information about us were printed on them. So cute! I also loved the food... especially the creme brulee which was a special request;) I also loved the little speeches given by each of our parents. It was a very special touch. It was such a great luncheon!

Then it was time for the reception! I've always wanted a vintage, chic, and travelesque reception. My mom and I worked on some fun touches: a New York table since Spencer and I spent time there over the summer and he served his mission there, old books, furniture, and antiques sitting around, wedding pictures of our ancestors and relatives, and chandeliers and different decorations hanging in the trees. We also had an Irish trio play Irish music throughout the evening. That was so awesome! I've been obsessed with Ireland since I can remember and Spencer and I both have a little bit of Irish in our blood. We also pulled a little bit of my love of Paris in to the reception with French food and coral macarons as the favor. I also loved how my cake turned out! It looked just like the lace and buttons on my dress. It was delicious too! Another really special part of the reception was the canopy of lights that my brother built and set up. I always wanted lights strung across the yard, and his mad skills made it happen. Everything was absolutely amazing!

My cute sis-in-law Jes made the flowers for my shoes.

And now to the awesome bridal party! We had so much love and support from our closest family and friends. The girls looked so beautiful in coral and the boys in black tuxes. They all looked fabulous. I also thought the mothers were stunning in ivory lace. We also had the cutest little kiddos running around, including my new nieces and nephews! It was definitely a crazy bunch!

Madsen family:
Dave, Jes, Dad, Mom, Me, Spencer, Jenny, Matt
Groomsmen in coral socks
Cousins:
Brittany, Nicole, Me, Christeen, Sarah
All the groomsmen and bridesmaids
My besties:
Allie, Tessa, Lacey, Me, Tracy, Chels
Some of the kiddos:
Morgan, Eden, Ephraim, Mary

The reception was so much fun! We were worried about rain, but the sky opened up right above us and instead of rain, a gorgeous CORAL sunset! Talk about an answer to many prayers. I actually really enjoyed the line and greeting all our guests, but after that the party really got started. We smushed cake in each other's faces, had our first dance as a married couple and danced with our parents, tossed the bouquet and garter, danced the night away with all our family and friends, and left through the path of people with sparklers into the decorated get-a-way car!

It was the best day of my life!! ...and a start to a great new life with Spencer! I love you babe!

...more pictures to come;)
