Virginia in the fall is super awesome. Last November, my cute friend Abi {the birthday girl} and I went apple picking at Carter Mountain Orchard in Charlottesville, VA [about an hour away]. The orchard is on the top of a mountain near Thomas Jefferson's plantation, Monticello. The orchard sold freshly baked apple donuts and warm apple cider. It was a chilly day and views from the top were insanely beautiful. We had such a fun morning picking all kinds of apples. It's always a hilarious time when the two of us get together. ...Oh, and I made the most delicious apple pie afterwards {my mom's brown bag apple pie recipe} with my hand-picked apples! I can't wait to apple pick again!
