This is when we first saw each other. I miss this boy so much! We get married in 26 days!!
On the boys' day off, my dad and Dave went to West Point Military Academy and Spencer took us girls into the city. It was so fun to be with him because he knows the city so well from his mission there. As Jes said, he was our little human GPS. Jes bought this adorable street sign picture for her house. So cute!
...gotta have a hotdog from a street vendor
Times Square = best place ON THE PLANET to people watch! It even beats airports and Lagoon. To back that statement up... this is where we saw the naked, 90 year old lady with blue hair and a guitar, collecting tips and placing them underneath her... how should I say this? Chest?
We had to act out the scene from Elf where he eats the gum off the subway gates. Gross!
My adorable mother bought us these matching pictures. I'm excited to frame it and put it in our newlywed apartment we found in Orem.
two words: Diet Coke
We got our faces drawn by this guy for only 10 buckaroos. I don't really think it looks like me and it sort of looks like Spencer with a Jay Leno chin! haha The finished product is fun because he filled it in with an NYC background. So funny!
Central Park
DASH! I will admit... I love them.
When the boys were working during the week, Mom and Dad took Jes and me out on some fun day trip adventures. This day we drove out the the eastern most point of Long Island to Montauk Lighthouse. Instead of paying an arm and a leg to walk up to it, we took the more adventurous route and hiked on the rocks completely around it.
My mom and Dad LOVE lighthouses! They've been to like a zillion.
This day we went and toured President Teddy Roosevelt's summer home. This was technically "the first summer White House".
My dad had a work seminar in the city for a couple days so my parents went and stayed a couple days at a fun hotel right off of Times Square. Jes and I took the train into the city and stayed with them for one of the nights. It was way fun! Mom and Dad took us to see the Broadway "Mamma Mia". I LOVED IT! My dream has always been to dance in a broadway like that.
Jes and I ventured down to China Town. WOW! What a sketchy, crazy experience. We were following Chinese ladies behind trap doors, behind buildings, down stairs into scary basement rooms, etc. And yes, all for knock-off purses! haha ...probably not the safest idea we've ever had, BUT we did come away with some fun purchases. :)
We spent the evening strolling in Times Square. We ate at the most amazing pizza place! I wish we had legit pizza like that here in Utah!
If you bought something at American Eagle, they would let you put your picture and a message on a gigantic billboard in the middle of Times Square. So... we just had to buy something! Of course we had to put something like, "JIMMER FOR PRESIDENT!"
The next morning we took the Subway into Brooklyn and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. It took about an hour, with all of our picture taking stops:). Next time I go back, I want to rent bikes and ride across it. Looked fun!
Love these two so much!
On our last day, we all went to a really fun beach on Fire Island. This was a great way to end the trip!
